Residential Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing residential properties to ensure systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components, troubleshooting issues and replacing faulty fixtures or appliances.

Responsibilities

• Fix leaks, unclog drains, and repair plumbing systems
• Maintain and repair electrical systems
• Service and maintain HVAC units
• Repair walls, doors, and windows
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent major problems
• Communicate effectively with tenants to address maintenance concerns promptly
• Schedule and perform regular maintenance and inspections
• Manage inventory of tools and supplies
• Order necessary parts for repairs
• Adhere to safety protocols and local building codes

Qualifications

• Experience in residential maintenance or related fields
• Technical knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
