About the role
The Residential Lead Carpenter at Vailes Home Improvement Services is responsible for managing residential remodeling and carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high craftsmanship standards are met. This role involves leading installations, maintaining quality control, and coordinating daily job site activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential remodeling and carpentry projects from start to finish while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
- Perform framing, finish carpentry, drywall repair, trim installation, and structural repairs in residential homes.
- Interpret construction plans, sketches, and specifications to execute work accurately.
- Cook up daily job site activities and ensure work follows proper construction sequencing.
- Maintain a safe job site and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Use and maintain power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience with strong knowledge of residential construction and remodeling.
- Experience working in custom residential homes or higher-end residential environments preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and job site safety practices.
- Comfortable leading work on-site and ensuring projects stay organized and on schedule.
- Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work with power tools and saws regularly.
