About the role
We are looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This full-time, year-round position involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing residential heating and cooling systems while providing exceptional customer service. You will travel to customers' homes, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and educate homeowners on repair and replacement options.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and optimize system performance.
- Explain technical findings clearly and professionally to homeowners.
- Recommend maintenance solutions to improve system reliability.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and a well-stocked company vehicle.
- Communicate with dispatch and represent the company professionally on every call.
- Mentor newer team members by sharing technical knowledge and customer service skills (for experienced technicians).
Requirements
- At least three years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Strong understanding of residential heating and cooling systems, including HVAC electrical and mechanical systems, airflow, refrigerant cycles, and controls.
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance.
- Experience reading wiring diagrams and equipment documentation (preferred).
- Commitment to continuing education and pursuing certifications such as NATE.
- Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple service calls while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

- Competitive pay: $25.00–$34.00 per hour based on experience.
- Total earning potential: $75,000–$90,000+ annually with performance incentives, commissions, and spiffs.
