About the role
We are looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize residential heating and cooling systems. You will provide homeowners with an outstanding customer experience, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. This role involves working on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, geothermal systems, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment.
You will accurately diagnose system concerns, explain repair options clearly, complete detailed service documentation, and deliver honest recommendations. You will also maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, follow safety standards, and represent Ocean State Air Solutions professionally on every service call.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Repair equipment and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently
- Work on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, geothermal systems, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment
- Accurately diagnose system concerns and explain repair options clearly to customers
- Complete detailed service documentation and provide honest recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle
- Follow company safety standards and represent the company professionally
Requirements
- At least five years of residential HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Journeyman License and EPA Certification
- Strong diagnostic skills and piping experience
- Excellent customer communication abilities
- Commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Experience servicing geothermal systems and boilers is highly preferred but not required.

Pay
$30.00-$42.00 per hour based on experience
Expected annual earnings: $70,000-$100,000+ with uncapped performance bonuses
