A Day In The Life Of The House Manager

As a house manager, you oversee the residents at your particular group home, ensuring they are properly cared for, safe, and happy. You will also be directly training and supervising all house staff to make sure they are staying up to date with the needs of the residents and their own required trainings. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Residential Services, nurse consultants, DDS case managers, behavior consultants, and others to aid in implementing the individual plans of the residents. You will work with families, parents, and guardians to ensure they know their family member at our group home is living a happy, rewarding, and meaningful life. This is an incredibly rewarding position for the right person. Responsibilities

  • Oversee residents at a group home, ensuring they are properly cared for, safe, and happy.
  • Train and supervise house staff to meet the needs of residents and maintain required trainings.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Residential Services, nurse consultants, DDS case managers, behavior consultants, and others to implement individual resident plans.
  • Work with families, parents, and guardians to ensure residents live happy, rewarding, and meaningful lives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of experience OR a combination of education and experience that meets qualification standards for satisfactory job performance.
  • Supervising experience.
  • Connecticut state driver's license.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone.
  • Positivity and a team-player attitude.

Pay

$54,996.00 per year

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday.
  • Rotating on-call duties.
