Residential Group Home Care Worker, 2nd & 3rd Shift

Support, encourage, and empower residents in adult living facilities across Northwest Columbus, North, Campus, and East regions. These positions offer learning opportunities for students seeking hands-on psychiatric experience during the summer break.

About the Role

• Climate-controlled, comfortable work environment
• No lifting or personal hygiene assistance required—all residents are mobile and self-sufficient
• Steady, year-round employment with 24/7/365 facility operations
• All personal protective equipment (PPE) provided

Responsibilities

• Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Meal assistance, including supporting residents in preparing meals and snacks for proper nutrition
• Daily living support to encourage independence in tasks like dishwashing and laundry
• Serve evening meals following menus designed by a registered dietitian
• Medication delivery under professional RN training
• Engage and monitor resident well-being through conversation and activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation with a clean driving record (≤4 points)
• Ability to meet credentialing standards, including background checks
• Pre-employment drug testing and reference checks

Pay

• Starting at $15.00/hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• $17.00/hour for weekend-only shifts (Saturday & Sunday, 8:00a–8:00p)
• Automatic overtime pay for hours worked on holidays
• Opportunities for additional overtime earnings

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: 4:00p–12:00a (full benefits)
• 3rd Shift: 12:00a–8:00a (full benefits)
• Weekend Only: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00a–8:00p (pro-rated benefits)
