Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of landscape projects with a focus on residential and hospitality environments.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, from initial consultation through to construction documentation and implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project objectives, design standards, and schedules are met.
  • Develop creative and functional landscape designs that integrate well with residential architecture and outdoor spaces.
  • Supervise and mentor junior landscape architects, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality design output.
  • Conduct site analysis, environmental assessments, and material selection to ensure the sustainability and durability of landscape designs.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, budgets, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, sustainable practices, and materials to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and local regulations related to landscape architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of completed residential landscape projects.
  • Proven experience in all phases of design and project management for residential properties.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of plant materials, sustainable design practices, and hardscape installation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to oversee budgets, schedules, and coordinate project teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in high-end residential landscape design and an understanding of market trends.
  • Familiarity with landscape lighting design, irrigation systems, and water features.
  • LEED accreditation or other sustainable design certifications a plus.
  • Licensure as a Landscape Architect a plus.
