Residential Field Specialist
About the role
This is a field-based role around Southern New Jersey. A fleet vehicle will be provided. The Residential Field Specialist acts as the local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. Responsibilities include installing energy-efficient equipment, conducting energy efficiency (re)audits, pre- and post-installation verifications, and other technical data-gathering activities within a defined territory. The role supports Account Managers in influencing stakeholders to sell and/or install energy efficiency retrofits or new construction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and residential energy audits, including on-site verifications and electronic review of field data entered into the program database.
- Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.
- Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness of products.
- Offer technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
- Travel throughout a defined territory.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience working as an Energy Auditor or in a related role.
- High school diploma or Associate’s Degree with relevant industry technical certification/training preferred.
- Current or prior BPI certification.
- 21 years or older with a clean, valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to a motor vehicle report for driving record verification.
- Must maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship or support.

Pay
Target compensation range: $29.00 – $36.00 per hour, depending on experience. The offered salary is determined based on internal equity, market data, applicant’s skills, and prior relevant experience.
