Residential Escrow Officer

Transnation Title Agency is looking for a full-time Residential Escrow Officer to join our Clarkston, MI team. In this role, you will manage real estate transactions from start to finish, ensuring each closing is handled accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with company and regulatory standards. You will work closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, agents, and attorneys to coordinate and complete residential transactions while delivering a smooth and professional closing experience. Responsibilities

• Manage residential escrow transactions from order opening through closing and post-closing
• Review title commitments for accuracy, including vesting, insured parties, and coverage details
• Analyze legal descriptions and supporting documents to ensure completeness and consistency
• Clear title requirements by obtaining and reviewing necessary documentation such as deeds, payoffs, probate documents, and corporate filings
• Prepare settlement statements, escrow documents, and closing packages in accordance with lender and contract requirements
• Schedule and coordinate closings with all parties involved
• Conduct closings, explain documents, and answer questions related to settlement figures
• Receive, disburse, and reconcile funds in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines
• Ensure proper recording of documents and completion of post-closing activities
• Maintain accurate files and documentation throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of residential escrows and title processes
• Working knowledge of title insurance practices and requirements for issuing marketable title
