About the role

The Service/Warranty Technician at Edmonson Electric is responsible for completing residential electrical work on homes before and after homeowners move in. They ensure all electrical is properly functioning in the new home.

Responsibilities

  • Duties include handling warranty calls, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, ensuring homes are left clean, and deescalating homeowner frustrations.

  • Able to perform "Hot Checks" to confirm equipment installation and functionality, troubleshoot faulty equipment, and communicate issues to supervisors.

  • Completes punch lists, troubleshoots issues, reads blueprints, and communicates with managers about any problems encountered.

Qualifications

  • Electrical trade knowledge for all aspects of residential electrical work.

  • Ability to read prints and scales for fixture, receptacle, switch placement.

  • Owns standard residential electrical tools.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Specialty tool knowledge: jack hammer, generator, multimeter, toner.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Electrical safety knowledge (lock out/tag out).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.
  • Physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Work in hot and confined spaces (attic work).
  • Use hand and power tools for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to work on-call schedule with other service employees.
  • Sit and drive for extended periods to reach service locations.
  • Safe operation of company van in various weather and road conditions.

Specific Qualifications

  • Previous experience in all phases of residential electrical work.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in residential electrical work is required.

Pay and Benefits

Minimum USD $22.00/Hr., Maximum USD $25.00/Hr.
