You'll combine technical expertise with strong communication and customer service skills. You'll Be Expected To Diagnose residential electrical issues accurately and efficientlyPerform electrical repairs and replacements safely and professionallyConduct electrical system and safety inspectionsIdentify electrical hazards, code concerns, and opportunities for system improvementsPresent homeowners with clear repair and replacement optionsExplain recommendations in a way customers can easily understandComplete work according to applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, permitting requirements, and Sierra standardsMaintain accurate job documentation, photos, notes, and customer recordsKeep your service vehicle, tools, and equipment organizedProtect customers' homes and maintain a clean work environmentParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, customer service, and performance training What We're Looking For We're looking for more than someone who can turn a wrench and pull wire. The strongest Sierra technicians are technically capable, confident communicators, process-driven, coachable, accountable, and motivated to perform. You should be comfortable entering customers' homes, asking questions, diagnosing concerns, explaining what you find, presenting solutions, and building trust. Qualifications Residential electrical service experience strongly preferredStrong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilityKnowledge of residential electrical systems and applicable electrical codesAbility to safely troubleshoot and repair circuits, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, GFCI/AFCI devices and related residential electrical componentsExperience with service upgrades, dedicated circuits, EV chargers, surge protection, generators or similar residential electrical work is a plusStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable presenting repair and replacement options to homeownersValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to complete applicable pre-employment requirementsAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of residential electrical service work Licensing / Certification Requirements Because this position performs electrical work in the Las Vegas/Clark County market, candidates must possess any individual electrical certification or journeyman credential required by the applicable local authority having jurisdiction for the work they will perform, or meet the applicable requirements to work under Sierra's licensed electrical contractor and qualified supervision. For work requiring journeyman-level qualification or supervision, Sierra will verify that the candidate holds a current Journeyman Electrician certification/credential accepted by the applicable building authority before assigning work that requires that qualification. Candidates should provide copies of applicable electrical licenses, certifications, apprenticeship credentials, or journeyman documentation during the hiring process. Important: Sierra maintains the appropriate contractor licensing required for the electrical services it performs. Employees are expected to work within the scope permitted by Sierra's contractor license, their individual qualifications, and applicable state and local requirements. Who Will Succeed Here?
