Residential Electrician

Residential Electrician performing advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair while supporting operational efficiency and project completion. Works closely with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained safely, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and leading less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
  • Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational awareness.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and departments.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and related systems.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and electrical codes.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to use a tablet or computer for on-the-job reporting, communication, and processing systems.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • Dependable transportation and commitment to punctual, reliable on-site attendance.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
  • Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.
  • Previous electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Experience within construction, operations, or service environments preferred.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced technicians is a plus.
