Residential Education Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Captures and processes student documents.
• Conducts student interviews and assesses student progress/needs.
• Provides training for assigned participants/students/clients.
• Maintains related supplies, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Develops and maintains related databases and enters data as necessary.
• Serves as advisor and provides guidance and direction for groups.
• Conducts judicial meetings.
• Recruits, selects, and trains Peer Review Board members.
• Facilitates monthly Peer Review Board Hearings.
• Counsels and supports the Residence Hall Association Executive Board.
• Facilitates monthly forums with the Residence Hall Association.
• Coordinates and implements activities with the Residence Hall Association.
• Develops and implements Housing initiatives.
• Identifies and develops monthly service learning opportunities.
• Provides community engagement opportunities.
• Develops and implements sustainability initiatives for Housing residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in work related to student services.
• Knowledge of University’s student policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of acceptable advising techniques.
• Knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and principles.
• Skills in making written and oral presentations.
• Ability to assess student progress and goals.
