About the role
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university OR, prior to hire, an approved waiver from CBH is obtained that includes a rationale for hiring without the required credit hours
- 2 years’ experience in human services, paid or unpaid, preferably with adults with psychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities
- Able to use an Electronic Health Record
- Valid Driver's License required
Physical Demands
- Must be able to assist in crisis management interventions
- Administer CPR/First Aid
- Assist individuals with mobility issues as needed
Specific Duties
- Provide supervision of residents at all times in accordance with their integrated individual support plan
- Maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with each service participant
- Be aware of each service participant’s individual service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodations required by the participant
- Act as a role model at all times, maintaining appropriate boundaries and demonstrating effective communication skills
- Maintain clear and consistent expectations of each service participant while maintaining a safe, supportive environment
