About the role

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university OR, prior to hire, an approved waiver from CBH is obtained that includes a rationale for hiring without the required credit hours
• 2 years’ experience in human services, paid or unpaid, preferably with adults with psychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities
• Able to use an Electronic Health Record
• Valid Driver's License required

Physical Demands

• Must be able to assist in crisis management interventions
• Administer CPR/First Aid
• Assist individuals with mobility issues as needed

Specific Duties

• Provide supervision of residents at all times in accordance with their integrated individual support plan
• Maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with each service participant
• Be aware of each service participant’s individual service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodations required by the participant
• Act as a role model at all times, maintaining appropriate boundaries and demonstrating effective communication skills
• Maintain clear and consistent expectations of each service participant while maintaining a safe, supportive environment
