About the role

Willow House is a 5 bed, co-ed 24 hour staffed intensive mental health program for young adults, ages 18-25, located in Enfield. This is a group home setting. Staff work with clients individually and in groups to teach independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, hygiene, and how to access resources in their community. Staff also support educational and/or vocational goals and teach interventions to manage their mental health needs. The goal of Willow House is to provide support and skills necessary for our young adults to be able to live independently in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard
  • Makes sure all residents take their medications according to the Adult residential medication policy and procedure
  • Communicates effectively with other staff about the day's events
  • Teaches and assists residents in areas of rehabilitation including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills
  • Aids in managing administrative tasks as directed by the supervisor
  • Facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as per the treatment plan
  • Collaborates and coordinates care with providers and families as needed
  • Supports residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs
  • Maintains accurate documentation in compliance with agency and program standards
  • Attends staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned
  • Performs additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • High diploma or GED required
  • Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record

Benefits

Starting at $19.00/hr min., and up commensurate upon experience. Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
