About the Role
The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life by providing direct care, guidance, and skill-building support within residential and community-based settings. They assist individuals with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goal attainment while ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Residential Counselors serve as strong advocates for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service and support plans and play an active role in their implementation.
- Provide support with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goal achievement.
- Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed.
- Implement activities that promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and the development of valued social roles.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
- Review, complete, and maintain all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record, required.
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
Pay
$20.00-$22.48
The organization recognizes skills, location, training, and program responsibilities by offering additional hourly differentials for certain positions. Ask your recruiter if this position qualifies for an additional hourly differential.
