Residential Counselor - Developmental Disabilities

About the role

Eliot's Developmental Disabilities (DD) division provides person-centered continuum of services that offers innovative and high quality programming to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. As a Residential Counselor, you will assist with the day to day operations of a group home for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries
• Promote community integration by supporting access to resources, fostering relationships, and reducing stigma
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment and implement crisis interventions when needed
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma
• Experience working with intellectually disabled or brain injured adults
• Ability to drive residence van
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a personally owned vehicle

Schedule

• Friday-Sunday, 9am-3pm (18 hours)
• Friday-Monday, 3pm-11pm (32 hours)

Pay

$19.50 USD per hour
