About the role
The Residential Counselor is responsible for providing support and guidance to residents in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision and support to residents
- Implement and monitor the implementation of the program’s policies and procedures
- Conduct regular check-ins with residents to assess their needs and progress
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
- Document all interactions and incidents in accordance with agency policy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a residential setting
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with residents
- Experience working with individuals who may have mental health or substance abuse issues
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
$X per hour, based on experience
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some evening and weekend shifts required
