About the role
NFI North Buxton is a residential treatment and educational program for adolescents/young adults in need of a highly structured and therapeutic environment. This program is seeking applicants for full time Direct Care Counselors for 2nd and 3rd shift awake overnights.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Support residents in developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and interactions
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
- Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions
Requirements
- A BA/BS in a related field of study
- Prior experience working with adolescents preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Pass background check and drug screening

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
