RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR

About the role

NFI North Buxton is a residential treatment and educational program for adolescents/young adults in need of a highly structured and therapeutic environment. This program is seeking applicants for full time Direct Care Counselors for 2nd and 3rd shift awake overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions
• Support residents in developing coping strategies and problem-solving skills
• Maintain accurate records of resident progress and interactions
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
• Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions

Requirements

• A BA/BS in a related field of study
• Prior experience working with adolescents preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Pass background check and drug screening

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
