About the role

We're hiring a 2nd Shift Children's Residential Counselor at Crystal Springs in Assonet, MA. The role supports young people in their journey toward independence and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with young students and assist them in developing valuable life skills.
  • Assist students in areas such as cooking, household chores, personal hygiene, and fostering friendships.
  • Promote healthy life choices, model appropriate behaviors, and encourage independence.
  • Work a schedule of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm and work every other weekend.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during overnight shifts.
  • Perform activities of daily living and physical interventions as necessary.
  • Work holidays and weekend shifts as required.
  • Model appropriate behavior and foster a positive environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to remain awake during an overnight shift.
  • Able to perform activities of daily living.
  • Able to perform physical interventions as necessary.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience is required, but caregiving knowledge is preferred.
  • A high school degree or equivalent is a bonus.

Pay

Earnings range from $18.50 to $21.50 per hour, depending on experience and education. Shift differentials apply: Second shift Monday - Friday: $2.00 per hour, all Shifts Saturday and Sunday: $3.00 per hour.

Schedule

The 2nd Shift Children's Residential Counselor works a schedule of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm and works every other weekend as part of the bi-weekly schedule.
