Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage menus, prepare nutritious meals, develop grocery lists, and maintain organized pantry and food storage.
- Supervise, protect, and support youth in individual and group settings while promoting a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
- Develop individualized meal plans and lead healthy living and exercise programs to encourage wellness and healthy habits.
- Document client progress, identify additional service needs, and communicate observations and recommendations to clinical and management staff.
- Provide academic, emotional, and daily living support, transport clients to appointments and activities, and assist with household tasks, including meal preparation and laundry.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like facility while ensuring residents' health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Apply crisis intervention and behavior management techniques, participate in required training, maintain CPR/First Aid certification, and perform additional duties as needed to support client care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with adolescents or young adults with emotional, behavioral, developmental or mental health challenges
- Dependable, reliable, and able to consistently maintain the assigned work schedule
- Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
