Residential & Commercial Electrician

Dark Current Electric is a growing company focused on residential and commercial electrical work in the East Valley, Arizona area. This is a project-based 1099 contractor position. As the company grows, the goal is to transition the right people into W-2 employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, service work, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Complete all work safely and in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, contractors, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Accurately document work performed and communicate job progress as required.
• Identify problems, communicate solutions, and take ownership of your work.
• Represent Dark Current Electric professionally on every jobsite.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential and commercial electrical experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and electrical diagrams.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks associated with electrical work.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

• Active Arizona R-11, C-11, or CR-11 contractor license.
• Experience with service work and troubleshooting.
• Generator installation experience.
• EV charger installation experience.
• Other specialty electrical experience.
