About the role
Provide compassionate care to children in foster care. Assist in the intake process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and maintained.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to determine the best placement for children in foster care.
- Interview potential foster parents and complete background checks.
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate regularly with social workers and other professionals involved in the child’s case.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and foster care guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in child welfare or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of child development and psychology.
