About the role
The Residential Assistant (RA) position at NARA Northwest is an onsite, swing shift role, with weekends required. Responsibilities include supporting youth through trauma-informed care, providing academic and personal support, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and facilitating various activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and intervention to youth as needed using trauma informed approaches.
- Provide academic support; assist with tutoring and homework.
- Complete all required documentation, including daily communication log and incident reports.
- Facilitate medication administration; maintain medication administration records (MAR) and properly document distribution of all medications.
- Attend staff meetings and training.
- Maintain facility in a clean, orderly fashion while on duty.
- Complete regular safety checks.
- Maintain open communication with youth and coworkers to create a positive environment.
- Facilitate after-hour youth activities.
- Observe and supervise chores being completed by youth.
- Follow all policies and procedures for admissions, discharges, and visitation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a residential setting, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health context. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.

Pay
The wage range for this position is $21.00 - $25.20 per hour, with an additional differential of $1.60 for swing shift work.
Schedule
This is an onsite, swing shift position, with weekends required. Shifts are from 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
