Residential Assistant (Relief & Secondary)
Position Summary/Responsibilities
The Residential Assistant assists with admissions and discharges, answers the phone, completes and records vital signs, assists clients to groups and meals, provides client transportation as needed, completes medication pick-up, assists in the kitchen as needed, and monitors client safety via 30 and 15 minute rounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working directly with individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders is a plus!
- Background check required (fingerprint, state and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report).
- Safe driving record required (no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years).
Hiring Range
The anticipated base salary for this position is $17/hour. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations.
Special Work Conditions
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, crawl, and reach above head.
- Use of hands for placing and pulling objects.
- Frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Close vision (driving).
- Specific hearing required (normal tones).
- Travel up to 10% (local).
About the Role
This is a relief position - working 20 or fewer hours per week - for external applicants and a secondary position for internal BRBH employees. This is a short-term, in-patient stabilization service for individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders.
