Residential Assistant
Position Summary/Responsibilities
The Residential Assistant is responsible for monitoring client behavior on the Crisis Stabilization/Detox unit, assisting with rounds and reporting any abnormal findings to the nurse on duty. In this role, you will assist with admissions and discharges, answering the phone, completing and recording vital signs, assisting clients to groups and meals, providing client transportation as needed, completing medication pick-up, assisting in the kitchen as needed, responsibility for overall cleanliness of the unit including sanitizing beds, changing linens, mopping floors, emptying trash, sanitizing bathrooms, and monitoring client safety via 30 and 15 minute rounds.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Working directly with individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders is a plus!
- Background Check: Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
- Safe Driving Record: This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years.
Hiring Range
The anticipated base salary for this position is $34,325.88 to $40,161.77. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.
Special Work Conditions
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, crawl and reach above their head.
- Use of hands for placing and pulling objects.
- Frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Close vision (driving).
- Specific hearing required by this job includes normal tones.
- Travel up to 10%.
