Residential Architect

About the role

Lars Remodeling & Design, an award-winning home remodeling company in San Diego specializing in residential remodels and new home construction, is seeking a Residential Architect to join our growing team of professionals. This is a full-time, office-based position in San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team of Project Consultants, Interior Designers, Estimators, Product Specialists, and Construction Project Managers on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, construction documents, and production/construction.
• Coordinate with consultants and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
• Resolve design problems with creative design solutions.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination from the perspective of an architectural expert.
• Meet with clients to better understand project objectives.
• Present conceptual design options to clients.
• Delegate and manage Junior Residential Designers' and Drafters' workload and calendars.
• Assist Project Manager with construction administration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in residential design.
• Licensed Architect in California is a plus.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve individually and with the project team.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Pay

$85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year, based on experience.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
