Residential Aide, The Landing Family Shelter

About the role

The Residential Aide assists clients in developing daily independent living skills through ADL sessions and maintains the facility's inventory.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with laundry, meal preparation, clean up, personal hygiene, shopping, and maintaining a schedule of activities.
• Maintain inventory of food and dry goods.
• Provide clients with an orientation of the facility, services, and personal care items upon arrival.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent experience.
• Must sign NYC DOH/MH attestation stating no founded child abuse reports.
• Must complete Department of Health Food Protection 15 hour Course and become a certified Food Handler.
• May be required to take Annual PPD Test.
• May be required to become First Aid/CPR certified.
• May be required to become certified in overdose prevention.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
