Residential Advisor, Substitute

Responsibilities

• Maintains student compliance with Center rules and regulations.
• Fosters an environment conducive to character development through encouraging favorable behavior patterns.
• Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance during emergencies, illnesses, traumatic experiences, and emotional situations; documents student activity and incidents.
• Patrols and monitors dormitories to ensure safety and proper behavior of students.
• Affords assistance and support for recreational activities both on and off campus.
• Supports and promotes positive customer service within the facility.
• Engages in student employability programs and activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience working with youth required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Skills

• Ability to maintain order and discipline among students.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols.

$19.00 per hour

Schedule

Varies, when needed and up to 24 hours a week.
