Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains compliance with Center rules and regulations.
  • Fosters a supportive environment for character development.
  • Assists students in emergency situations and documents incidents.
  • Maintains dormitory conditions and makes decisions regarding safety and behavior.
  • Coordinates dormitory activities such as recreation, competitions, and tutoring.
  • Facilitates Career Success Standards group sessions and provides guidance.
  • Maintains and updates student records and information in CIS.
  • Serves as center duty officer as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience working with youth preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles.

Schedule

Varies, when needed. 3 pm - 12 am, 11:30 pm - 8:30 am MTC is proud to operate the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA where our staff provide quality services to our local youth.
