MTC is proud to operate the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV. Our staff provides quality services to local youth and values dedicated professionals who improve lives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students on residential floors to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Foster an environment conducive to character development through encouraging positive behavior.
• Facilitate prompt and appropriate assistance in case of injury, illness, trauma, or emotional distress; document student activity and incidents.
• Provide basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Collaborate with career counselors and staff to address issues affecting student training.
• Develop and conduct enrichment programs as assigned.
• Participate in student employability programs and activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year experience working with the youth.
• A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.

Pay

$19.20 per hour.

Schedule

Full Time, 8-hour shifts, Prime/Swing Shift 3:00pm-12am or Night/Graveyard 11:30pm-8:30am.
