Residential Admin Asst
About the Role
As a Residential Rehabilitation Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in transforming lives and helping individuals regain their independence and quality of life. Work is full-time during the weekdays, performed inside at the residential site with occasional work at the clinic and/or in the community. In Bakersfield, the office is located on the second floor of a two-story complex, requiring the climbing of one flight of stairs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Residential Rehabilitation Manager in administering, directing, and coordinating business activities of the Residential Rehabilitation Program.
- Ensure compliance with State, CARF, and Cal-OSHA (in California) regulations.
- Develop and manage an efficient petty cash system for outings, groceries, etc.
- Coordinate human resources administration for the residential program.
- Prepare requests for out-of-town trips, rent vehicles, and handle related logistics.
- Prepare requested reports, requiring proficiency in writing, calculating numbers, reading, and understanding forms, data, and reports.
- Supervise receptionist staff and cover the receptionist desk as needed for breaks, absences, etc.
- Review and approve or deny computerized PTO requests.
Requirements
- High school graduation or G.E.D. required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of accounting and personnel principles required.
- Experience demonstrating potential administrative and supervisory competence is preferred.
- Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office, including Excel, is required.
