Residential Adjunct Instructor - Nursing Care of the Older Adult

Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program. Our teaching roles allow you to continue working in the field while exploring academia and engaging the next generation of nurses. Our nursing courses provide the knowledge, clinical skills, and nursing values critical for student success.

About the role

Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned, either on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations. Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to model learning skills and create an inclusive, student-centered environment. Foster high levels of engagement through activities, community building, and synchronous learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum settings.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies and techniques to accommodate a varied student population.
• Model appropriate learning skills and create an environment conducive to learning.
• Engage students through activities, community building, and live classroom tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Documented experience in care for the older adult.
• Active, unencumbered RN licensure.
• 1-year clinical experience as an RN (2+ years preferred).
• Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Required faculty immunization documentation.
• Official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution.

Schedule

Part-time, flexible campus and clinical-based scheduling, generally consisting of 10-15 hours per week per course.
