Resident Technician, Heavy
About the role
Perform in the field service repairs on construction equipment. This position covers the construction market in the following Missouri territory: Randolph, Macon, Adair, Monroe, and Shelby counties. Operate equipment in a safe manner to find diagnostic errors, technical problems, and determine proper solutions. Establish and maintain a service oriented relationship with customers and supervisors. Order parts in equipment parts books or online. Complete service reports and all other paperwork before and after repairs are made.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Order parts in equipment parts books or online.

- Operate equipment in a safe manner to find diagnostic errors, technical problems, and determine proper solutions.
- May work in an office environment and travel to customer’s work sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 75-100lbs and provide your own tools.
- May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75-100lbs.
- Must be able to climb/operate machinery and various types of equipment.
- Will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, hearing protection, etc.) for a given situation.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a formal technical training program with a minimum of four years’ experience in a service setting required.
- Must have engine, electrical, hydraulic, transmissions and diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Computer literacy required. Must be familiar with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, and CAT programs.
- Must be a self-starter with good time management and able to work independently.
- Excellent planning & organizational skills required.
- CDL with air brake required. Must have clean driving record.
- Must be able to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
- Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

730 am – 400 pm Monday – Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and callouts as needed.
