Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in managing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Safeguarding the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents in the Wellness area
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
• Providing loving care to enhance the quality of life for residents

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is preferred
• Must be able to speak and read in English
• Previous experience with geriatric population and providing assistance with ADLs is preferred
• Must have a basic understanding of dementia and possess patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
• Must be able to adjust to different personality types and situations in a positive way
• Maintain reliability, care, and gentleness in touch and demeanor
• Must show respect for the elderly and maintain calmness at all times
