About the Role
The Resident Services Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all resident-related inquiries and coordinates requests with the property management team. This position ensures exceptional customer service, maintains community appearance, and assists in marketing functions while complying with Hunt Military Communities policies and government requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all resident-related inquiries.
- Coordinate and assist with resident requests by entering work orders into YARDI.
- Answer resident questions and resolve concerns with courteous, professional, and prompt responses, ensuring follow-up through resolution.
- Assist in inspecting model and vacant homes to ensure readiness for prospective client tours.
- Administer move-in lease documents and home inspections with residents.
- Coordinate notice to vacate, pre-inspections, move-outs, and final inspections, including assessing damages and delivering final utility bills (where applicable).
- Monitor rental account balances and ensure accuracy of fees and rent charges in Yardi.
- Maintain community curb appeal, including the office, amenities, model homes, and overall community appearance.
- Conduct follow-up calls to residents to ensure work orders are completed satisfactorily within an acceptable timeframe.
- Perform other duties as needed to assist the Community Director, Community Manager, or Leasing team.
- Participate in monthly resident retention events.
- Drive a Company or personal vehicle to conduct business duties more than 50% of the time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related discipline (preferred).
- Experience with computers and office software (e.g., Email, Word, Excel, internet browsers).
- Previous experience in sales (preferred).
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions while showing homes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity.
- Ability to resolve problems independently and proactively.
- Reliable, self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail and business literacy skills.
- Discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs, making recommendations for implementation.
- Daily use of technology platforms.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
- Valid and in-state Driver’s License (required).
