Resident Service Coordinator
About the role
The CPLC Supportive Housing Services team is Empowering Lives through Housing Stability. The Housing Navigator EMPOWERS LIVES by serving individuals and families that experience multiple barriers to housing stability and connecting them to affordable housing opportunities and supportive service resources.
Responsibilities
- Empower residents to live independently and thrive by connecting elderly individuals, couples, and people with disabilities to vital community resources, supportive services, and educational opportunities.
- Strengthen each resident’s support network through an empowerment-based approach that promotes self‑advocacy, personal growth, and long‑term stability.
- Work collaboratively with property management and community partners, to assess resident needs, facilitate access to services, and foster a welcoming, supportive housing environment.
- Advance CPLC’s mission of Empowered Lives by enhancing residents’ quality of life, reducing social isolation, and promoting safe, inclusive communities where individuals can reach their highest level of self‑sufficiency.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree. Preference for majors in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling is preferred; and two- three (2-3) years of experience in social service delivery with an elderly/family population, especially those experiencing housing instability, OR
- A combination of a minimum of six years of work experience and education may be considered.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, preferred.
Qualifications
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Thirty-six (36) hours of training must be completed within the first year of employment.

- Interpersonal communication skills that allow for professional and positive relationships with coworkers, participants, families, and other community members, evidenced by non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
- Sensitivity to socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the populations served.
- Creative thinking, adaptive personality, and a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change.
- Working knowledge of supportive services and other resources in the area served.
- Ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and provide results for the target population.
