About the role

The RN Residency program at NGHS helps new graduates transition into their nursing practice by emphasizing orientation, education, and evidence-based practice. It includes didactic learning, state-of-the-art simulations, and training with a dedicated preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Engages in didactic learning and state-of-the-art simulations
• Provides direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process
• Coordinates care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes
• Works together with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team
• Develops knowledge and skills as a new graduate clinical RN
• Serves as a highly engaged and full partner on the care team
• Adapts to change and demonstrates flexibility
• Positively impacts the work environment by displaying respect for individuals and the organization
• Creates an environment of open dialogue, inquiry, and continuous development
• Supports in quality of care activities, evaluates nursing practice, and improves patient experience

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
• Associate's Degree, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing
• At least 1 year of RN experience
• Preferred: BSN, preferred experience, preferred certifications
