Job Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating treatment program effectively and efficiently.
- Answer telephone in a courteous, respectful and polite manner.
- Document phone calls and nature of calls in log with date and time.
- Stay awake and alert at all times.
- Make head count no less than once every hour.
- Document head count in log.
- Notify program director or counselor if any client elopes or requires discharge for inappropriate behavior or is involved in a problem situation outside the scope of authority and discretion of Resident Manager.
- Document in log information of events, activities, and problems occurring during shift, especially any occurrence falling within the Department of Mental Health Operational Standards' definition of a Serious Incident.
- Enforce house policies in a professional manner at all times.
- Conduct fire and evacuation drills when requested by program director.
- Properly observe and record the self administration of medication by residents as directed.
- Insure the safety and welfare of clients at all times.
- Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times.
- Cover yourself in a manner which leaves a favorable impression with the public.
- Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other Life Help policies, procedures, and management decisions.
- Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency.
- Refrain from malicious gossip at all times.
- Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large.
- Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator.
- Must possess leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Mississippi Driver's License
