Resident Manager

About the role

The Resident Manager at Snow Mountain Ranch supports the YMCA of the Rockies' mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs, staff, and facilities. They lead, train, and support staff in creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and hold Resident Assistants and staff accountable for daily responsibilities while fostering a positive environment.
• Coordinate and manage on-call schedules, ensuring coverage and timely responses.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management, including setting expectations and addressing performance concerns.
• Maintain consistent and visible presence in staff housing, monitoring conditions, supporting staff, and addressing issues proactively.
• Ensure all housing areas, rooms, and community spaces are clean, safe, organized, and maintained to established standards.
• Oversee vehicle scheduling, usage, cleanliness, return, and accountability, and coordinate with Building & Grounds for larger repairs.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate staff engagement events and programs, ensuring clear communication and participation.
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence within housing and at events, fostering an inclusive community.
• Support HR leadership with year-round housing coordination, ensuring availability and operational readiness.
• Complete and submit quarterly safety audits, and report incidents, concerns, and emergencies with professionalism.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
• Comfortable working independently while supporting a team environment.
• Experience in housing, hospitality, event planning, or staff operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a cooperative, solution-focused, and supportive work environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive as needed.
• Ability to speak in front of groups.

Qualifications

• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to snow, rain, wind, and fluctuating temperatures.
