About the Role

The Resident Maintenance Senior AGV/LGV Technician coordinates and works with leadership to schedule corrective and reactive maintenance services on equipment during their shift. They partner with site teams for troubleshooting issues related to equipment operation, electrical/mechanical systems, and incident management. This role also involves conducting training on equipment operation and associated systems for LTS RM techs and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule corrective and reactive maintenance on assets using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure completion of work orders transferred from other shift leadership teams.
  • Maintain accuracy in work management, reporting, and logs for equipment and training.
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for LGV/AGV systems and vehicles, collaborating with partners and vendors.
  • Utilize the customer's parts support team for replacement parts and organize returns of defective parts to the OEM.
  • Assist with in-depth troubleshooting of complex issues and communications with other material handling systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on asset failures to prevent recurrence and prepare RCA documentation for review.
  • Conduct training on general safety, support, recovery, and maintenance of assets, as well as system communications.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership teams on metric reporting for customer updates on equipment status.

Requirements

  • Vocational school, related military experience, or equivalent job experience.
  • 2-5 years' experience in at least 4 of the following areas:
    • Software development and troubleshooting (preferably logistics-related).
    • Controls development and troubleshooting (preferably on conveyor or similar equipment).
    • AMR, AGV, SDV installation, configuration, and service.
    • Mechanical installation and integration (preferably on high automation projects).
    • Client service and troubleshooting.
    • Team leadership.
    • Parts management.
    • Project management.
  • Clear and effective communication style that builds client trust and satisfaction.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • PC computer software and hardware literacy, including basic computer networking skills.
  • Self-starter, well-organized, and able to work independently without on-site supervision.
  • Frequent contact with employees, customers, and management teams.
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent changes in activities and priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-call hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Correctable vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and manual dexterity.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Commitment to safety: practice safe work habits and abide by all safety rules per KPI, the customer, OSHA, and OEM.
