Resident Hair Specialist/Licensed Cosmetologist

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical treatments, and related services tailored for senior residents.
• Offer gentle, patient care, always considering mobility, comfort, and individual needs.
• Educate residents on age-appropriate hair care and maintenance practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon space in compliance with health standards and State Board Guidelines.
• Build meaningful relationships while maintaining a warm, professional presence within the community.

Requirements

• Average of 3 years’ licensed experience in cosmetology.
• Experience working with senior clientele is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in haircutting, styling, and chemical services.
• Strong attention to detail and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, empathetic demeanor.
• A genuine desire to uplift others through service and connection.

Qualifications

Sign-on Bonus

• Total sign-on bonus of $1,000, to be paid in installments as follows:
• 25% ($250) after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
• To qualify, the Employee must: Complete the required CARES certification (if applicable), Demonstrate successful adherence to RSS paperwork protocols, and Effectively utilize RSS systems.
• 25% ($250) after completion of 6 months of employment with RSS.
• The Employee must be in good standing and have adhered to all RSS policies and protocols.
• 50% ($500) after completion of 1 year of employment with RSS.
• The Employee must remain in good standing and continue to meet all RSS performance expectations, policies, and protocols.
• If the Employee is not in good standing, voluntarily resigns, or is terminated prior to completing one year of employment, RSS reserves the right to withhold unpaid bonus installments.
