Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects related to highway/bridges, facilities/buildings, or rail/transit projects from conception to closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and verifying contractor submissions.
  • Identify and document nonconforming work and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Oversee and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders.
  • Review and ensure DWRs are completed accurately and timely.
  • Monitor contractor performance, project schedules, milestones, project progress, and critical path.
  • Serve as the primary contact with CTDOT and project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and agency representatives, to facilitate project success.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and recommendations regarding construction issues.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineering License (PE) with 8 years of experience or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with 10 years of experience.
  • Experience on transportation infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CTDOT CEI processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  • Able to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of COMPASS and AASHTOWare ProjectNET.
  • TCP – Concrete Inspector, ACI – Concrete Certification, NETTCP – HMA Paving Inspector, NACE, AMP, or BCI – Coating Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certifications.
  • Professional Engineer License.

Pay

Compensation Range: $130,962.60 - $149,671.54
