About the role

HDR is seeking water-experienced construction professionals across the Hudson Valley and lower Catskills area to join our growing Construction Services team. We are looking for experienced professionals with NYCDEP or local Water Municipality project experience to work in Ulster County. Transportation experience will also be considered.

Must be willing to work onsite in Ulster County near Ashokan Reservoir in the Town of Olivebridge as well as Rondout Reservoir in Grahamsville, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex construction assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard construction engineering techniques and procedures
• Conduct project field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding, and scheduling
• Receive, issue, and track RFIs, submittals, and other required data
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field
• Previous construction engineering experience
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license)
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Estimating & CPM Scheduling Software, and web-based document collaboration software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering
• Local candidates given preference
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation

Pay

New York: $103,075 – $190,000 (depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location)

Full-time, regular employee status
