About the role

Coterie is a luxury senior living brand founded by Atria Senior Living and Related Companies. We aim to enhance wellness and cater to the unique needs of our residents through thoughtful design, fitness facilities, and culinary offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and promote daily activities to inspire resident participation and foster a strong sense of community.
  • Create, plan, and schedule community events and programs with the Resident Engagement Director.
  • Maintain records of all programs, resident participation, and acceptance by residents.
  • Properly market the Engagement Calendar and ensure daily events are posted and updated in a timely manner.
  • Understand and adapt to the community's interests to create engaging programming.
  • Engage and motivate residents during their move-in process, including tours of the fitness center and other amenities.
  • Support new residents by completing Atria Resident Discovery surveys and assisting in decorating the community according to First Impression Standards.
  • Partner with the Memory Care Resident Engagement team to plan, coordinate, and implement daily programs for memory care residents.
  • Capture and utilize individual resident Life Story information and apply effective approaches and redirection techniques as needed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, general education degree (GED), or four-year college degree, combined with one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and provide a vaccination record card at the time of hire.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: wellness, fitness, arts & humanities, or music therapy.
  • Preferred certification by an organization with NCAA Accreditation, such as the American College of Sports Medicine.
  • Experience working with geriatric individuals and/or persons with cognitive impairment.
  • Required certifications based on current state regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to operate technology, including computers (Word, Excel, email), iPads/tablets, and AV systems.
  • Valid driver’s license, with the ability to drive the company vehicle and/or personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
