About the role

Atria Senior Living's Coterie brand is seeking dedicated professionals to join its team. The ideal candidate will lead engaging activities and programs for residents, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned programs and activities for AL/IL residents, promoting their well-being through thoughtful daily activities.
  • Create, plan, and schedule community events and programs, collaborating with the Resident Engagement Director and Specialists.
  • Maintain records of all programs, resident participation, and acceptance, ensuring compliance with state laws.
  • Understand and adapt to the community's interests, creating programming that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Engage and motivate residents during move-in, including greeting new residents, completing Resident Discovery surveys, and assisting with community decoration.
  • Partner with the Memory Care Resident Engagement team to plan, coordinate, and implement daily programs, capturing individual resident Life Story information and utilizing effective approaches and redirection techniques.
  • Support residents upon move-in, making a special effort to include and engage them in programs and introducing them to others with similar interests and backgrounds.
  • May be requested to obtain third-party certifications and drive company vehicles as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or four-year college degree; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and provide a vaccination record card at time of hire.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: wellness, fitness, arts & humanities, or music therapy.
  • Certification by an organization with NCAA Accreditation such as the American College of Sports Medicine preferred.
  • Training and/or experience working with geriatric individuals and/or persons with cognitive impairment preferred.
  • Required certification(s) based on current state regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to operate technology including computers (Word, Excel, email), iPads/tablets, and AV systems.
  • Valid driver’s license; position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
  • Must comply with Atria's motor vehicle policy standards.
  • Able to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications
