About the role
The Resident Care Director (RCD) is the clinical leader responsible for overseeing health, wellness, and care coordination within a community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing team and care programs
- Conduct resident assessments and develop Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident condition changes and coordinate with physicians and clinical partners
- Oversee medication management and infection control initiatives
- Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable
- Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts
- Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and nursing regulations
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate clinical staff
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budget
- Partner with sales to assess move-in suitability
- Providing high-quality, resident-centered care, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading clinical teams, and driving continuous quality improvement to enhance resident health and wellness.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Strong clinical leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and infection control
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care and lead quality initiatives
- Excellent communication and team management abilities
