About the role
The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the clinical leader for the community, overseeing health, wellness and care coordination to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered services. This role drives clinical excellence, regulatory compliance and team performance while supporting Sunrise’s mission and care standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing team and all care programs
- Conduct resident assessments and oversee Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor changes in condition and coordinate with physicians and clinical partners
- Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable
- Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial and nursing regulations
- Recruit, hire, train and performance manage clinical team members
- Manage staffing, scheduling and department budget
- Partner with Sales to assess move-in appropriateness
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in senior living or long-term care preferred
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Pay Range: $77,896.00 - $107,536.00
