Resident Care Director Role Summary The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the clinical leader within a senior living community, responsible for overseeing health, wellness, and care coordination to deliver high-quality, resident-centered services. They drive clinical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead team performance to support the community’s care standards. Key responsibilities include: Managing and leading the nursing team and all care programsConducting resident assessments and overseeing Individualized Service Plans (ISP)Monitoring resident condition changes and coordinating with physicians and clinical partnersOverseeing medication management and infection control programs, including infection control leadershipDriving Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiativesEnsuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, and nursing regulationsRecruiting, hiring, training, and managing clinical staff performanceManaging staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgetsPartnering with sales to evaluate move-in suitability The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical leadership, nursing management skills, and knowledge of healthcare regulations, with a focus on elevating resident health and wellness.
