Resident Care Aide
About the role
The Arbors at Taunton is a senior living community where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We are seeking a Resident Care Aide who loves working with seniors, takes pride in high-quality care, and approaches every task with attention to detail, patience, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services professionally and compassionately
- Document care accurately and completely
- Review and prepare shift change logs; communicate key information to incoming staff
- Alert licensed nurses to changes in resident condition or needs
- Respond appropriately to emergency call systems
- Follow proper procedures for Self-Administered Medication Management
- Assess resident capabilities and provide assistance as needed
- Support dining, housekeeping, and activity programs
- Aid relatives, guests, and visitors, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Maintain a calm, professional, and positive environment
- Take a team approach, support coworkers, and collaborate effectively
Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant certification OR completion of a Certified Home Health Aide program
- Understanding of the physical and emotional needs of seniors
- Patience, compassion, and respect for all residents
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed, united team
- Dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership of duties
